About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Finance Clerk to support its finance department in Beirut, Lebanon. The role involves processing payments, maintaining filing systems, and assisting with audits and donor visits. This position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to start a career in humanitarian finance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare checks, bank letters, and bank transfers based on complete supporting documents.
- Organize and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for all financial documents.
- Retrieve payment documents and provide them promptly upon request.
- Assist during audits and donor visits by supplying required documentation.
- Contact suppliers to collect invoices and bank letters, and hand over bank letters to suppliers.
- Participate in cash distribution activities and scan documents for the ECHO project.
- Support ad‑hoc tasks related to the finance function as assigned by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Fresh graduate or diploma in finance or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a stressful environment.
