Filmmaker Consultant – Produce Audiovisual Content for UNRWA

About the role

UNRWA Lebanon Field Office is seeking a local filmmaker consultant to create high‑quality audiovisual and communication materials that document its programmes, humanitarian interventions, and the lives of Palestine refugees in Lebanon.

Key responsibilities

• Capture video and photography of UNRWA programmes, field activities, and community events.
• Produce, edit and enhance short films, videos, reels, including subtitles, animations and visual effects.
• Develop concepts, scripts, storyboards and creative visual content for print, digital and web platforms.
• Review drafts for branding, messaging and technical quality.
• Process and archive photos with proper captions and metadata.
• Ensure all materials comply with UNRWA branding and visibility standards.
• Coordinate with the Field Public Information Officer and other departments to identify communication needs.
• Participate in regular field visits to camps and other locations for content collection.
• Perform any additional ad‑hoc audiovisual tasks as required.

Required profile

• University degree in Visual Arts, Communications, Media Production, Film Studies or related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in film/documentary writing, producing, directing, videography, photography and editing.
• Proven experience managing audiovisual projects and producing digital multimedia content.
• Excellent written and spoken English; good working knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
