English Teacher

About the role

The school seeks a dedicated English Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum, support student achievement, and foster a positive learning environment. The role involves using provided lesson plans, assessing student performance, and contributing to the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English classes using SABIS® lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain an effective classroom environment.
• Proctor exams and ensure a properly managed testing environment.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and structured revision schedules.
• Perform duties such as student testing, substitute teaching, organizing lunches and transportation, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life activities (art, open houses, physical education) in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.
• Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and accountability.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Ability to meet all local employment, certification, reference, and background check requirements.
