Electrician – 6‑month contract

About the role

The United Nations Office of the Special Coordinator for Lebanon seeks a qualified electrician to ensure safe and reliable electrical operations across its premises in Villa Sehnaoui, Yarze, Baabda. The contractor will work on a 6‑month assignment, providing both routine maintenance and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, repair, installation, testing and wiring of all electrical apparatus within UNSCOL premises.
• Install electrical components according to architectural and code specifications, run wires through conduit, and test connections using volt/ohm meters and oscilloscopes.
• Repair or replace circuit breakers, switches, 3‑phase industrial breakers, and machine control panels.
• Conduct periodic equipment inspections and respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and nights.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in electrical repair and maintenance.
• Fluency in Arabic and working knowledge of English.
• Ability to be on‑call and travel to the site at short notice.
