EECD Technical Manager

About the role

The EECD Technical Manager provides hands‑on technical leadership and support across IRC’s Education and Early Childhood Development portfolio, strengthening program quality, developing tools and capacity‑building initiatives, and working closely with government ministries and implementing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to ensure EECD programming aligns with IRC standards, national curricula and international best practices.
• Develop, review and contextualise technical tools, curricula and learning materials, and establish quality benchmarks.
• Serve as the primary technical focal point for coordination with ministries such as MEHE, MoSA and MoPH, representing IRC in technical working groups.
• Design and lead trainings, coaching and capacity‑building for facilitators, teachers, caregivers and partners, including Training of Trainers.
• Conduct regular field visits, observations and on‑the‑spot coaching to assess implementation quality and identify capacity needs.
• Support partner technical assessments, provide ongoing mentoring and contribute to policy and advocacy initiatives.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of professional experience in early childhood development programming, including technical design and delivery.
• Previous NGO/INGO experience with demonstrated ability to engage and coordinate with government ministries.
• Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
