Director of Development

About the role

The Office of Advancement at OpenMinds Lebanon is seeking a Director of Development to lead major‑gift fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the role focuses on securing philanthropic support for medical treatment, research, endowments and other strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify fundraising priorities with the Vice President for Advancement and develop strategic plans to meet them.
• Design and execute a comprehensive revenue‑generation plan that includes sponsored projects, contracts, grants, gifts, and corporate partnerships.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward new and existing donors, sponsors, foundations and government agencies.
• Manage a portfolio of at least 400 prospects, targeting gifts of $750,000 or more.
• Collaborate with the principal‑gifts team on high‑level donor engagements.
• Develop and implement the fiscal year fundraising plan approved by the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing major‑donor portfolios and securing gifts of $750,000 or higher.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies and revenue‑generation plans.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies.
• Experience overseeing a large prospect pipeline (minimum 400 prospects).
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and report to the Vice President for Advancement.
