Development and Partnerships Specialist

About the role

The Development and Partnerships Specialist will support UNDP’s efforts to improve living conditions for Palestinian host communities in Lebanon. Based in Beirut, the consultant will work closely with local partners and UNDP teams to design, implement and monitor development initiatives across the North, Bekaa, Mount Lebanon and the South.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of development projects targeting vulnerable Palestinian host communities.
• Facilitate partnerships with NGOs, government agencies and community groups to ensure effective service delivery.
• Support data collection, monitoring and reporting on project outcomes and impact.
• Conduct site visits to assess needs, track progress and provide recommendations.
• Prepare briefing notes, proposals and other documentation for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in development studies, social sciences, international relations or a related field.
• Experience working on humanitarian or development programmes in Lebanon or similar contexts.
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by Palestinian host communities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
