Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer you will join Thales' Digital Transformation projects, designing and delivering data pipelines that enable accurate business analysis through reports and dashboards. You will work with a variety of cloud and on‑premise technologies to ensure data is reliable, scalable, and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex data sets that satisfy functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain reusable ETL jobs using Talend and Azure Data Factory.
• Design and implement connectors, data lake ingestion, and data warehouse structures (Data Marts, Data Cubes).
• Optimize data delivery, automate manual processes, and improve infrastructure scalability.
• Build analytical tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights on operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
• Collaborate with product, design, and executive teams to address data‑related technical issues.

Required profile

• Significant experience in cloud data engineering, preferably Azure.
• Strong background with Microsoft SQL Server stack and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to work in an international, multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
