Cost Controller

About the role

Le Gray Hotel is looking for a Cost Controller to join its Finance team. You will be responsible for safeguarding the integrity of purchasing, inventory, and cost control processes while supporting operational excellence across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor purchasing, inventory, and cost control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Analyse food & beverage costs, sales performance, inventory, and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate inventory and POS data, including recipes, menu items, and product costing.
• Participate in stock takes, investigate variances, and ensure precise inventory reporting.
• Prepare and review cost control reports, providing insights for informed business decisions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Food & Beverage, Purchasing, and other departments to strengthen controls and maximise profitability.
• Support budgeting activities and ensure effective use of inventory management systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in Cost Control, Inventory Control, or Finance within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of working independently and within cross‑functional teams.
