Clinical Simulation Center Supervisor

About the role

The School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Simulation Center Supervisor to manage daily operations of its simulation facilities across the Byblos campus and the Achrafieh satellite site. Reporting to the Director of the LAU Clinical Simulation Center, the supervisor will ensure smooth delivery of experiential learning activities for health‑profession students.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Clinical Simulation Center, including scheduling, room preparation, and staff coverage.
• Coordinate and facilitate simulation sessions, troubleshooting any technical or logistical issues that arise.
• Collaborate with faculty to plan, develop, and deliver experiential learning activities, including scenario creation for standardized patients and high‑fidelity simulators.
• Assist with student instruction, debriefing, assessment, and issuance of course certificates.
• Maintain equipment, furnishings, and inventory; manage budgetary aspects and procurement of new instructional tools.
• Prepare reports, evaluate services using quality‑improvement methods, and contribute to committee work.
• Organize annual CPR training for health‑profession students and provide faculty training on simulation equipment and new learning approaches.

Required profile

• Experience in managing a simulation or laboratory‑based learning environment, preferably in a health‑education setting.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to handle multiple schedules and resources.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, IT staff, and support personnel.
• Attention to detail for equipment maintenance, inventory control, and budget monitoring.

Required skills

• Familiarity with clinical simulation equipment (medium‑ and high‑fidelity simulators, task trainers, standardized patient setups).
• Basic IT coordination for simulation technology and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CPR instruction and health‑profession education standards.
