Child Protection Officer

About the role

The Child Protection Officer will lead daily follow‑up of child protection activities, support implementing partners, and oversee direct field implementation. The role contributes to psychosocial programming for children and youth and builds capacity for caregivers, ensuring compliance with Save the Children policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute monthly and weekly work plans in coordination with the Child Protection Coordinator.
• Lead needs‑assessment interviews, monitor progress, and resolve implementation issues.
• Conduct field visits to verify quality standards and produce quantitative and qualitative reports.
• Provide technical training, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.
• Support partners with technical and operational guidance and monitor their activity quality.

Required profile

• Experience in child protection or related humanitarian programmes.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to emergency contexts.
• Familiarity with Save the Children safeguarding level 3 requirements.
• Strong coordination skills with supply chain, finance, and HR functions.
