Case Worker

About the role

The Case Worker will operate under the supervision of the Case Management Officer and guidance of the Case Management Specialist, delivering home‑based case management for vulnerable children across the Bekaa and Baalbek regions. The role involves direct contact with children and coordination with families, host communities, NGOs and other service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and outreach vulnerable children, including those in alternative care, refugees, asylum‑seekers and undocumented families.
• Assess each child’s social, biological and psychological situation, document risks and strengths, and refer to appropriate services.
• Develop flexible case plans for the child, current caregiver and, when applicable, the biological family.
• Maintain confidential case files, both physical and digital, using the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS).
• Provide regular feedback and reporting to the line manager on case load, challenges and success stories.
• Disburse cash assistance according to national cash standards and monitor its use.
• Deliver specialized psychosocial support activities as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to capacity‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Works under direct supervision of a Case Management Officer.
• Flexibility, attention to detail and ability to follow up on medium to high‑risk cases.
• Comfortable conducting individual and group sessions and providing concise feedback.
• Creative, agile and capable of autonomous communication with diverse community stakeholders.
• Level 3 child safeguarding – regular contact with children and young people.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CPIMS (Child Protection Information Management System).
