Cardiac Sonographer

About the role

The Cardiac Sonographer performs high‑quality, non‑invasive cardiac ultrasound examinations. You will prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, acquire and analyse images, and work closely with cardiologists and the care team to ensure accurate diagnosis and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Operate cardiac ultrasound machines to acquire diagnostic images.
• Record, analyze and archive echocardiographic data.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings.
• Document results in patient records following established protocols.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine quality checks and adhere to infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of cardiology and non‑invasive cardiac imaging.
• Background in medicine or allied health (e.g., Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology).
• Training in cardiac ultrasound techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
