BIM/CAD Engineer

About the role

The BIM/CAD Engineer will support ICT, ELV and smart‑systems engineering teams by creating accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models. This role ensures digital coordination and high‑quality project deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for ICT and ELV systems, including CCTV, structured cabling, BMS, AV, Wi‑Fi and related smart systems.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, cable routing drawings and as‑built documentation packages.
• Manage model federation, clash detection, issue‑tracking and BIM execution plan compliance.
• Generate COBie datasets, asset‑tagging information and digital handover models.
• Support IFC export, Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows and model version control.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, ICT and ELV teams to resolve multidisciplinary coordination issues.
• Participate in BIM coordination reviews and clash‑resolution workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ICT, Computer and Communications Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM and CAD modelling within ICT and ELV environments.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience in BIM workflows, BIM Execution Plans and model federation.
• Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
• Ability to produce COBie data, IFC exports and manage CDE processes.
• Competence in clash detection, issue tracking and model version control.
