Assistant Audit Manager

About the role

PKF Chartouni is looking for a motivated Assistant Audit Manager to join its audit department. You will lead audit engagements, supervise teams, and ensure compliance with professional standards while delivering high‑quality service to local and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise audit engagements of financial statements in line with IFRS, ISA and firm quality policies.
• Participate in audit planning, including risk assessment, strategy, materiality and resource allocation.
• Review audit working papers to ensure proper documentation, sufficient evidence and methodology compliance.
• Monitor engagement progress, meet deadlines and promptly escalate issues.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and on‑the‑job training to audit staff.
• Review financial statements and audit reports for consistency with reporting frameworks.
• Communicate findings, issues and recommendations to clients and management.
• Support managers and partners in resolving complex audit and accounting matters.
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to PKF quality standards (ISQM 1 & ISQM 2).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audit, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in external auditing.
• Proven experience supervising audit teams and managing engagements.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, audit methodologies, risk assessment and internal controls.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, DipIFR or equivalent) is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit software such as CaseWare.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and identify audit risks.
• Strong understanding of audit planning, execution and reporting procedures.
