AI Engineer – LLM Integration & Prompt Engineering

About the role

Aspire Software is seeking an AI Engineer to enhance its AI‑driven products within a PHP/MySQL/React/Node stack. The role focuses on integrating large language model APIs, extending the company’s AI chatbot, and building robust token‑metering and access controls.

Key responsibilities

• Ship AI features in the PHP/MySQL/React/Node stack with OpenAI API integration.
• Extend the AI chatbot (Astro Core) with new capabilities such as data visualization and analysis.
• Develop the external MCP connector, including schema design, authentication, and capabilities.
• Own prompt engineering as a core product discipline.
• Build token metering, usage tracking, and tiered access controls.
• Contribute to agent architecture, including tool access, memory management, and token pool isolation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into production applications.
• Strong prompt engineering skills, including system prompts, function calling, and structured outputs.
• Understanding of token economics and usage‑based product design.
• Experience with metered or rate‑limited systems and billing integration.
• Solid PHP and MySQL experience within an existing production codebase.
• Proficiency with React and Node for frontend features and TypeScript for backend MCP work.
