Accounting & Auditing Consultant – Côte d’Ivoire

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Auditing Consultant to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for our clients in Côte d’Ivoire and across the region. Based in Abidjan, the role involves extensive travel to Lebanon and other African countries to support client projects and deliver high‑quality consulting services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities for client entities and internal operations.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures and internal control frameworks in line with SD Group standards.
• Plan, execute and supervise internal audit and financial review engagements across multiple client projects and locations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory regulations, tax requirements and organizational policies.
• Evaluate financial processes, accounting systems and control environments, recommending practical improvements.
• Provide financial, accounting and audit advisory services to support the setup and optimisation of client finance functions.
• Deliver clear financial insights, performance analysis and executive summaries to aid management decision‑making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate closely with clients and project teams to understand business needs and manage expectations.
• Supervise, mentor and develop accounting and audit team members, including training client finance staff.
• Contribute to the standardisation of SD Group’s financial, audit and consulting methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and auditing, with proven leadership and team‑management responsibilities.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience managing audit engagements and delivering financial advisory or consulting services.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Strong communication, presentation and client‑relationship management skills.
