Accountant – Finance Team Support

About the role

The Accountant will support the finance team by handling day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up‑to‑date. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional looking to develop their accounting expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify all daily transactions, ensuring supporting documents such as invoices and receipts are attached before data entry.
• Enter daily expenses, bank deposits, transfers and purchase details (including shipping charges) into the appropriate accounting software.
• Organise and file all accounting documents and related attachments.
• Review, verify and correct monthly purchase records.
• Post transactions across software modules and reconcile all monetary accounts, including banks, petty cash and transitory collections.
• Prepare and submit a daily activity report to the supervisor.
• Provide recommendations on resource usage and disbursements.
• Participate in the Medicals International Quality Management system in line with ISO 9001:2008 standards.
• Perform any other accounting‑related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or related role.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word.
