Academic Coordinator

About the role

The Academic Coordinator will oversee the academic operations of a CIS branch, ensuring that curricula, teaching schedules, and student assessments align with the institution’s standards. This role acts as a bridge between parents, instructors, and management to foster a high‑quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with parents to explain academic structures and procedures.
• Collaborate with instructors to develop annual teaching plans and prepare syllabi.
• Monitor lesson delivery, instructor performance, and adherence to the academic calendar.
• Review daily class logs, oversee exam preparation, and manage cross‑branch exam exchanges.
• Prepare quarterly and annual academic performance reports for the Branch Manager.
• Validate student grades, address academic weaknesses, and coordinate textbook distribution.
• Monitor lab equipment quality for technical subjects such as hospitality, automotive mechanics, and IT.
• Act as Branch Manager in their absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Management, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in academic coordination, teaching, or school management.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, student evaluation, and educational planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (French a plus).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with educational software; experience with the Olive system is an asset.
