WASH & Shelter Coordinator – Humanitarian Programs

About the role

The WASH & Shelter Coordinator will lead planning, design, implementation and evaluation of water, sanitation, hygiene and shelter activities for Save the Children in Lebanon. The role includes technical assessments, supervision of infrastructure works, distribution of kits and coordination with partners and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare work plans, manage beneficiary registration, assessments, trainings and civil works to deliver WASH and shelter interventions on time and within budget.
• Supervise integrated WASH and shelter projects, ensuring technical standards, quality monitoring and compliance with Save the Children and national guidelines.
• Coordinate distribution of WASH kits, shelter materials and non‑food items, guaranteeing transparency, accountability and proper documentation.
• Represent Save the Children in local coordination groups, liaise with authorities, partners and donors, and contribute to proposal development and donor reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or related built‑environment field; Master’s degree is an asset.
• Familiarity with humanitarian sector standards (Sphere), donor requirements, technical aspects of WASH and shelter, and experience using survey and reporting tools.
