About the role
The Lebanese American University invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position in Civil Engineering, starting September 2027. The appointment is at the assistant professor level, with potential for higher ranks based on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil/structural engineering.
- Develop and lead a robust research program, securing external funding.
- Supervise and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental service.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in structural engineering.
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
- Preference for candidates with U.S. teaching or industry experience and/or a P.E. license.
- Post‑doctoral experience or proven teaching expertise is an advantage.
Required skills
- Structural engineering expertise.
- Ability to conduct and publish research.
- Experience in curriculum design and student mentorship.
