Tax Specialist – Lebanon

About the role

We are seeking a senior Tax Specialist to lead tax and social security compliance for HOLDAL’s entities in Lebanon. The role combines deep technical knowledge of Lebanese tax law, VAT and NSSF with strong business judgment to support finance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end tax compliance across all Lebanese entities, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
• Prepare and review corporate income tax, salary tax, built‑property tax, annual returns and other declarations.
• Manage VAT compliance, including periodic declarations, reconciliations, import VAT, refunds and credits.
• Oversee NSSF compliance, contributions, reconciliations and coordinate registrations with People Experience.
• Lead preparation and coordination of tax and NSSF audits, acting as primary contact with authorities.
• Provide advisory support on tax implications of contracts, transactions and new business activities.
• Monitor legislative changes and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
• Calculate, record and reconcile tax and social security provisions, accruals and liabilities.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with hands‑on experience in Lebanese taxation, VAT and social security.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate income tax, salary tax, property tax and withholding tax.
• Proven ability to manage audits, interact with the Ministry of Finance and NSSF.
• Excellent analytical skills and sound business judgment.
• Effective communication skills to advise management and cross‑functional teams.
