Structural Engineer

About the role

Libanconsult AGM is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Beirut. The successful candidate will design safe, code‑compliant and cost‑effective structural solutions for a variety of projects, ranging from buildings to hydraulic and marine structures across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structural concepts and select appropriate systems and load paths for buildings, dams, reservoirs, intake works and other civil works.
• Perform detailed analysis and design of reinforced‑concrete and steel structures using Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.
• Prepare design reports, calculation notes, technical specifications and bills of quantities.
• Produce and review structural drawings in coordination with the drafting team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as BAEL, Eurocodes, ACI and other international standards.
• Support construction teams, review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Contribute to technical and financial offers for new tenders and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• 5–10 years of experience in structural design, preferably within an engineering consultancy.
• Proven experience in reinforced‑concrete frame design and familiarity with hydraulic or marine structures is a plus.
• Membership in the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut or Tripoli is advantageous.
• Strong technical judgment, attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.

Required skills

• Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis (mandatory).
• ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD.Pro (preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD; working knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit (optional).
• Solid knowledge of BAEL, ACI and Eurocode design standards.
