Structural Civil Engineer – Design & Estimation

About the role

We are looking for a Structural Civil Engineer with at least 2 years of design experience to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and estimating precast, post‑tensioned, and reinforced concrete floor systems while working closely with clients and the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of horizontal elements such as precast, prestressed, post‑tensioned and reinforced concrete slabs and beams.
• Carry out cost comparisons, value engineering and select the most effective structural system for pricing or execution.
• Prepare high‑quality design solutions and drawings to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate site activities with the factory and client, and calculate/estimate flooring systems for quotations.
• Use a consultative sales approach to guide clients, develop proposals, and close sales.
• Maintain and develop business relationships, attend trade shows and support the sales team as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in structural design, preferably with precast and post‑tensioned systems.
• Ability to perform hand calculations for structural elements.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and proposal preparation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of prestressed concrete theory.
• Proficiency with Etabs or Robot, SAFE, and AutoCAD 2D.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with design codes ACI 318, IBC/UBC.
• Optional but advantageous: PCI 7th edition, PTI 6th edition, Adapt, RAM.
