Software Engineer

About the role

AllegianceTek is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join its Beirut team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet business needs while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following coding standards.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Use Git and other version‑control tools for collaborative development.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and suggest improvements.
• Follow established development procedures, policies, and agile practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, C# or JavaScript.
• Experience with web technologies: HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
