Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the role

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Working closely with Product, Engineering and DevOps, the SDET ensures reliable, scalable solutions that meet safety, compliance and customer success goals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional scrum teams to define test strategies and create comprehensive test plans.
• Design, document and maintain detailed test cases covering functionality, customisations, performance, security and integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry‑standard tools and AI‑driven assistance.
• Validate APIs, data flows and system integrations, troubleshooting issues with developers.
• Perform manual testing, track defects in Jira and ensure timely resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing in dynamic environments.
• Apply AI/ML techniques for intelligent test generation, prioritisation and predictive quality analytics.
• Conduct performance testing, identify bottlenecks and recommend optimisations.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software testing experience, with at least 3 years focused on automation.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in agile teams and communicate effectively with developers.
