Software Business Analyst

About the role

GlobeMed Group, the largest Healthcare Benefits Management company in the MENA region, is looking for a Business Analyst. The role involves conducting needs analysis, determining project requirements, documenting them and communicating them clearly to all stakeholders, and suggesting updates or re-engineering with alternative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business activities using ICT resources and take the lead on business analysis planning and monitoring, eliciting requirements, requirements management and communication, and solution assessment and validation.
• Help the product owner turn requirement models into user stories, define sprint content, understand project plans and roles, and document epics and user stories.
• Groom the backlog with the Product Owner and Product Manager, organizing and prioritizing user stories and splitting epics into stories.
• Study R&D practices, processes and tools to improve the business model and ecosystem and strengthen competitive intelligence.
• Standardize communication between clients and developers, documenting client direction, structure, business processes and requirements.
• Review QMR and audit observations, run sanity-check tests, document test results and help fix business-as-usual issues.
• Perform root cause analysis, identify process pain points and patterns, and help the team align ICT solutions with organizational strategy.
• Train and support end users, professional services, QA and development teams.

Required profile

• University degree (BS) in MIS, Computer Science or Business Management with extensive experience in the Solutions Provider industry.
• Ability to comprehend in-depth business knowledge and terminology, and to recognize and prioritize business value.
• High curiosity and eagerness to learn, and ability to think creatively beyond existing industry practices.
• Professional interaction with executives, managers and subject matter experts.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Agile methodology and its tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to write and execute test scenarios and test cases.
