Social Media Strategist

About the role

Horecons is seeking an experienced Social Media Strategist with deep knowledge of the GCC market, especially the UAE, to join its Social Influence team. The role focuses on shaping brand communication across digital platforms to drive influence, reputation, engagement, and measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive social media strategies for Horecons and its clients, covering brand positioning, audience targeting, platform selection, content pillars, tone of voice, and KPIs.
• Create monthly, quarterly, and campaign‑specific content strategies that translate business objectives into clear social directions.
• Conduct market, competitor, audience, and platform research to identify trends and opportunities across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC.
• Design content pillars, campaign concepts, communication themes, and editorial calendars.
• Write and supervise creative briefs for designers, motion artists, video editors, and content creators, ensuring strategic relevance.
• Review content before publication to maintain alignment with strategy and brand positioning.
• Develop organic growth, community development, and platform performance strategies.
• Analyze account and campaign performance, producing actionable recommendations and monthly performance reports.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, pitches, and strategic workshops.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in social media strategy, digital strategy, or a closely related role.
• Proven experience working with UAE and/or GCC clients.
• Strong understanding of GCC digital behavior, cultural sensitivities, and regional occasions such as Ramadan, Eid, and UAE National Day.
• Familiarity with premium and luxury brand positioning, B2B and corporate audiences, and regional events.
