Senior Regional Maintenance Manager – RME

About the role

Amazon’s North America Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team is seeking a senior leader to drive safety, equipment uptime, and cost optimization across its fulfillment network. The role will guide field‑based Facilities Managers, shape maintenance strategy, and support senior leadership with data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Champion safety standards and ensure compliance across all sites.
• Lead, mentor and expand a network of Facilities Managers throughout North America.
• Drive maintenance excellence through innovation, documentation, standardization and safety practices.
• Provide ROI‑based guidance on equipment end‑of‑life (EOL) decisions.
• Oversee budget development, execution and capital planning for maintenance programs.
• Manage vendor relationships and leverage economies of scale.
• Audit maintenance execution and safety practices across fulfillment centers.
• Coordinate multi‑site maintenance teams and develop contract documents, RFPs and purchase orders.
• Support General Managers in facilities management and recruit top maintenance talent.

Required profile

• 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 7+ years leading organizations of 100+ employees.
• 10+ years of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Technology or Reliability Engineering.
• Proven experience managing spend, labor budgets, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems.
• Packaging automation and storage systems.
• Statistical analysis and ROI analysis.
• Six Sigma Black Belt methodology.
• Professional Engineering registration (preferred).
