Senior Python Backend Engineer

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a senior back‑end developer with strong Python expertise to join its fast‑growing online trading team. You will work on building and enhancing trading platforms that serve clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design and develop new features and products.
• Write technical specifications, choose appropriate technologies, and follow coding standards.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure quality and security.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns, and propose refactorings.
• Maintain and improve micro‑services, containerised applications, and related infrastructure.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience, primarily in Python.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SDLC, and service‑oriented architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Required skills

• Python (core language).
• PHP (considered an advantage).
• Micro‑services design and development.
• Message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Helm).
• Version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins).
• Web security standards and best practices.
