Senior Mechanical Engineer – Architectural Lighting

About the role

Bold Lighting, a US‑based architectural lighting company, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative lighting fixtures in Dbayeh, Lebanon. You will transform creative concepts into manufacturable, high‑performance products while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through production for lighting products.
• Create and validate 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design extrusions, sheet‑metal parts, die‑cast components, and complete assemblies.
• Perform tolerance analysis and thermal design assessments.
• Oversee prototype builds, testing, and design validation.
• Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, fabrication, and production support.
• Ensure compliance with ENEC, CE, UL, and IEC 60598 certification standards.
• Review engineering documentation for accuracy and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Support pilot runs and mass‑production phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of product/mechanical design experience, preferably in lighting.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
