Senior External Audit Associate

About the role

Grant Thornton Lebanon is seeking a Senior External Audit Associate to lead audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and the audit team, ensuring efficient information flow and high‑quality audit delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day audit activities across multiple engagements.
• Interact with clients to gather information and maintain effective communication.
• Apply Grant Thornton’s audit methodology and software throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to managers, partners, and clients.
• Monitor engagement budgets, prepare fieldwork financial statements, and report progress weekly.
• Coach and train junior staff, providing timely feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with managers on audit strategy during planning and fieldwork phases.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of recent audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 or international audit firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics; Master’s in Audit is a plus.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, LCPA, or ongoing pursuit of such credentials.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting practices.
