Senior Data Systems & Automation Specialist – Forensic Data

About the role

The Forensic Data Functional Support Officer provides advanced functional and technical support to forensic data systems, focusing on the Lebanon Missing File and the Responsible Handover of Missing Persons Data project. Reporting to the Forensic Data Manager, the role translates operational requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced functional and technical support for RESOLVE, Microsoft Dynamics 365/Dataverse and other forensic data systems, troubleshooting application and database issues.
• Develop advanced SQL queries, scripts, automations and bulk‑processing solutions to investigate, extract, update, reconcile and manage complex relational data.
• Support data mapping, transformation, extraction, preparation, reconciliation and migration while preserving data integrity and traceability.
• Design and implement bulk imports, updates, corrections and automated data‑processing workflows, including data‑quality controls and exception handling.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for scripts, automations, mappings and migration processes, ensuring proper hand‑over for continued operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on coding experience with advanced SQL development, automation and bulk data processing in complex relational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail and ability to produce clean, maintainable solutions.
• Fluent Arabic, full professional English; French is an asset.

What we offer

• Salary package US$3,018 – US$4,408 per month (according to ICRC salary scale).
• Transportation allowance of US$15.8 per day.
• 13th month salary paid in December (pro‑rated).
• Annual leave: 20 paid working days (pro‑rated).
• Full health insurance coverage (90% of premium under class B).
