Senior Data Engineer – Fintech

Aspire Software is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, product development, and operational decision‑making. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, finance, operations, and growth, offering a direct impact on a rapidly scaling fintech business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and optimise data models, warehouses, and data lakes for business and product analytics.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate data needs into actionable solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and observability across all systems.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of the data platform.
• Support both real‑time and batch data processing requirements.
• Document standards, best practices, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with software engineers to embed data solutions into customer‑facing products and internal tools.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining modern data architectures and large‑scale pipelines.
• Experience in payments, fintech, or transaction‑heavy environments is strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to data quality and reliability.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL.
• Proficiency in Python (or comparable programming language).
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data‑stack technologies.
• Understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and distributed data systems.
• Skills in AI development using top‑tier large language models (LLMs).
