Senior Accountant – On‑site in Senegal

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Senegal operations. The role is full‑time and on‑site, responsible for overseeing all general accounting functions and ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and tax reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and conduct variance analysis on financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial projection activities.
• Oversee cost accounting, allocate product costs, analyse manufacturing variances and value inventory.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams on product costing, waste and related financial data.
• Ensure compliance with local financial and tax regulations and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices within the accounting function.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Dolphin accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling.
