Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will manage daily accounting operations for a consulting bureau in Lebanon, handling ledger entries, payments, reconciliations and month‑end closings. The role supports financial reporting, tax filings and internal audit activities while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Support tax filings and ensure compliance with Lebanese accounting and taxation regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to improve performance.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams, providing recommendations and maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a consulting or multi‑client environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English and Arabic; French is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial accounting and general ledger management.
• Solid knowledge of Lebanese taxation principles and compliance.
• Experience with internal controls and audit support.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to use accounting software for data management and reporting.
