Senior Accountant

About the role

Trust CI provides outsourced accounting, payroll, tax and audit‑support services to Lebanese companies. The Senior Accountant will own the full statutory compliance cycle for a portfolio of client entities, ensuring accurate and timely filing through the Ministry of Finance electronic portal.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and review complete sets of books, perform monthly and annual closings, and prepare financial statements with foreign‑currency conversion guidance.
• Prepare, reconcile and e‑file periodic VAT declarations, manage input‑VAT restrictions, carryforwards and refund claims.
• Compute payroll withholding, file NSSF declarations, register employees, and calculate contributions across all branches.
• Prepare annual corporate tax returns at 17% on adjusted profit, manage dividend, interest, withholding tax and monthly stamp‑duty filings.
• Prepare audit files, act as counterpart to external auditors, and represent clients during Ministry of Finance and NSSF inspections.
• Monitor regulatory changes, maintain compliance calendars and circulate updates to clients and internal teams.
• Advise clients on tax consequences of transactions, flag risks, and supervise junior staff work.

Required profile

• Education in Accounting or Finance (BT3/TS, LT or Bachelor’s degree).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in Lebanon, including 2‑3 years of statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese tax law, VAT, payroll, NSSF, and corporate tax regulations.
• Ability to reason through tax treatments, defend files before inspectors, and stay current with frequent regulatory updates.
