Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of accounting operations in Lebanon for a growing real‑estate and development company. This hands‑on role requires strong technical expertise, independent management of end‑to‑end financial processes, and the ability to analyse profit & loss to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closings.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Own the Profit & Loss statements, tracking revenues, costs and overall business performance.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense allocation and cost control.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial performance.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analyses; provide actionable insights to management.
• Track project‑level costs and profitability.
• Maintain compliance with local accounting standards, prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
• Maintain strong internal controls and organized financial documentation.
• Maintain and optimise accounting systems, identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience with P&L responsibility; real‑estate experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end accounting independently.
• Fluent in English; additional language a plus.
• Based in Lebanon.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting and P&L analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software (Zoho preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills.
