Senior Accountant – Construction & Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the finance function for our construction and logistics operations in Lebanon. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Manage cost accounting, budgeting, and project‑based financial tracking for construction projects and logistical operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor reconciliation.
• Supervise bank reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasting, and daily treasury functions.
• Review and manage project cost allocations, inventory accounting, and equipment depreciation.
• Assist in internal and external audit preparations and tax compliance filings.
• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure financial data accuracy related to shipments, imports, materials, and project expenses.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA/CMA is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a construction or logistics company.
• Deep knowledge of project accounting, cost control, contract billing, tax regulations, financial reporting standards and audit procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational and leadership abilities, high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.
