Risk & Underwriting Analyst – Chargebacks & Merchant Boarding

About the role

Aspire Software is seeking a Risk & Underwriting Analyst to join its Lebanon team. You will own the end‑to‑end chargeback function while also driving underwriting and merchant onboarding activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full chargeback lifecycle: intake, merchant notification, evidence gathering, representment, pre‑arbitration and arbitration.
• Build and defend dispute cases, deciding when to fight or accept a dispute based on commercial impact.
• Maintain chargeback inbox and dispute queues to meet non‑negotiable network SLA deadlines.
• Coach merchants and partners on reason codes, required evidence, and root‑cause remediation.
• Track and report chargeback metrics such as ratios, win rates, ageing, loss exposure and top reason codes.
• Improve operational tools – templates, macros, portal workflows, checklists and knowledge‑base articles.
• Collaborate on the underwriting cycle: review applications, perform KYC/KYB checks, verify documents and support merchant boarding.
• Monitor risk and transaction patterns, escalating abnormal activity to relevant teams.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing chargebacks and disputes.
• Familiarity with underwriting and merchant onboarding processes.
• Ability to meet strict network deadlines and SLA requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset to detect abnormal transaction patterns.
• Effective communication with internal teams and external merchants.
