Restoration Crew Chief

About the role

The Restoration Crew Chief leads restoration projects for Servpro of Wilson County, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and a positive customer experience. This role combines field work, team leadership, and client communication to restore properties efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect property damage and develop custom mitigation and restoration plans.
• Lead restoration and mitigation projects from start to finish, maintaining professionalism and quality outcomes.
• Supervise and coach technicians on best practices, safety procedures, and equipment use.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance representatives, and internal teams.
• Provide hands‑on field support for water removal, drying, fire damage cleanup, and mold remediation.
• Maintain and stock tools and vehicles to ensure job readiness.
• Track project progress, adapt strategies, and ensure compliance with IICRC and OSHA regulations.
• Document equipment usage, moisture readings, and restoration reports.
• Respond to urgent service calls and participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call rotations.
• Current IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT).
• At least 1 year of experience in restoration, mitigation, or a related field (preferred).
• Supervisory or leadership experience in the industry (strong asset).
• Problem‑solving mindset, strong communication, organization, and team‑leadership skills.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and work in varied, potentially hazardous conditions.

• FSRT (Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician) certification
• AMRT (Applied Mold Remediation Technician) certification
