Remote MEP Engineer – U.S. Projects (Contract)

About the role

We are an outsourcing firm that delivers engineering services for U.S.-based construction projects. We are seeking a remote MEP Engineer who has produced approved mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawing sets for U.S. clients, reviewers, or permitting authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Produce complete MEP drawing sets, including plans, riser diagrams, equipment and panel schedules, details, and specifications.
• Run load and sizing calculations for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Select and schedule equipment, documenting the basis of design for each selection.
• Lay out ductwork, piping, power distribution, and lighting, coordinating with architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare permit sets and energy‑compliance documentation according to local jurisdiction requirements.
• Perform clash checking, respond to plan‑review comments, RFIs, and contractor inquiries with documented revisions.
• Deliver project milestones on schedule and flag any schedule risks early.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of MEP engineering experience on U.S. projects.
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise in at least one trade (mechanical, electrical, or plumbing) with solid knowledge of the other two.
• Practical knowledge of U.S. codes and standards and how local jurisdictions amend them.
• Familiarity with U.S. permit submittal and plan‑review processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English for direct communication with project teams.
• Own hardware, licensed software, reliable high‑speed internet, and a dedicated workspace.
