Public Health Monitoring & Verification Consultant (Lebanon)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking three consultants to support public‑health monitoring and verification activities in Lebanon. Each consultant will be based in one of IOM’s offices – Beirut, Tripoli or Chtaura – and will work directly with the Public Health Unit, the Ministry of Public Health and other partners to ensure timely implementation of health interventions for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field verification and follow‑up of public‑health activities in shelters, communities, points of entry and health facilities.
• Collect, document and analyse implementation data and produce structured monitoring reports.
• Identify operational gaps, challenges and recommend corrective actions under the supervision of the National Project Officer.
• Support coordination with Ministry of Public Health, NGOs, UN agencies and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports on disease surveillance, community outreach and health‑system strengthening.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in public health, epidemiology, medicine or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in field monitoring, health programme implementation or humanitarian health projects.
• Familiarity with the Lebanese health context and with vulnerable groups such as migrants and refugees.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to work independently in the field.
