Project Officer - Lebanon Emergency Response

About the role

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a Project Officer to support its multi‑sectoral emergency response in Lebanon. The role will work closely with local partners across Beirut, Bekaa, Mount Lebanon, Nabatieh, Saida and hard‑to‑reach conflict‑zone areas, implementing grant activities and providing technical assistance to ensure effective delivery of assistance to displaced households and underserved communities.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities in line with CRS quality standards and donor requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify challenges or gaps, and report findings to inform plan adjustments.
• Assist partners in reflecting on project experiences and integrating lessons learned.
• Coordinate project evaluation activities and help partners collect and analyse data using established tools.
• Collaborate with local partners to prepare timely reports according to the reporting schedule.
• Collect and verify information needed for project monitoring, reporting and accountability.

Required profile

• Experience in implementing humanitarian projects or emergency response programmes.
• Ability to work closely with local NGOs and community partners.
• Strong monitoring, reporting and data‑collection skills.
• Familiarity with CRS program quality principles and donor compliance.
