Process and Excellence Lead (Business Process Engineering)

About the role

The Business Process Engineering Lead will own the end‑to‑end business process management practice for the organisation, driving optimisation, re‑engineering and automation across multiple functions. Reporting to senior management, the role supervises four Process Specialists and ensures that process standards and digital transformation initiatives are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with senior stakeholders to map current operations, pain points and strategic goals.
• Review and approve AS‑IS documentation, ensuring compliance with modelling standards.
• Define enterprise‑level TO‑BE process architecture using Lean, eTom and continuous‑improvement principles.
• Set BPMN 2.0 modelling standards, quality benchmarks and governance frameworks.
• Design and redesign processes in Bizagi, handling complex, cross‑functional workflows.
• Conduct gap analysis and translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
• Identify automation, RPA and intelligent orchestration opportunities and build business cases.
• Drive digitisation of manual and paper‑based processes, creating digital workflows.
• Oversee implementation, go‑live coordination and post‑implementation reviews.
• Define integration requirements with enterprise systems in collaboration with IT.
• Establish RACI models, process ownership structures and monitor KPIs, SLAs and benefits realisation.
• Maintain a reusable library of process assets, templates and standards.
• Mentor and review the work of the Business Process Engineer and Process Specialists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Information Systems.
• 8‑10 years of experience in business process engineering or BPM, with 3‑4 years in a senior or lead role.
• Hands‑on experience across the full BPM lifecycle (AS‑IS discovery, TO‑BE design, validation, implementation, integration).
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Telecom industry experience and familiarity with frameworks such as eTom and Lean Six Sigma is an advantage.
