Policy Officer

About the role

The Policy Officer will lead political and policy analysis for BADIL, the policy and journalism arm of Triangle, while supporting broader project work across the organization. This role requires independent identification of key political trends in Lebanon and the wider region, public representation of the organization, and contribution to business development.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor emerging Lebanese and regional political developments and propose storylines ahead of the news cycle.
• Draft policy papers, briefs, reports, feature articles, op‑eds and other written materials to high editorial standards.
• Conduct interviews, original research and combine desk research with quantitative data to produce evidence‑based analysis.
• Represent BADIL in media appearances, panels, briefings and public forums.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, analysts, officials and civil‑society stakeholders.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and deliver high‑quality outputs on schedule.

Required profile

• Deep, first‑hand knowledge of Lebanese and regional politics.
• Understanding of the progressive orientation of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects and deliver results.
• Strong communication skills for public representation and senior‑level engagement.
