Planning & Cost Control Engineer (Construction Projects)

About the role

Zerock is seeking a motivated Planning & Cost Control Engineer to join its Beirut office. You will support construction projects across Africa, working closely with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure timely and budget‑conscious delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multidisciplinary project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Review and update schedules as project requirements evolve, tracking performance against baselines.
• Assign resources and costs, monitor work progress, and prepare accurate progress valuations.
• Produce look‑ahead schedules and participate in progress meetings.
• Prepare and update project budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and cost reports.
• Perform variance analysis, propose corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Maintain project control documents such as change‑order registers and variance logs.
• Generate client‑required reports including weekly/monthly progress, cost reports, S‑curves and resource histograms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in planning and cost control on construction projects.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts.
