Physics Teacher – International School (Relocation Required)

About the role

SABIS is seeking a qualified Physics Teacher to join the CADMUS International School in Baghdad for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role involves delivering the SABIS curriculum, supporting student achievement, and contributing to a vibrant school community. Relocation assistance is provided for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver physics lessons using provided lesson plans or develop plans aligned with SABIS pacing charts.
• Mark examinations and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Proctor exams and ensure a well‑managed testing environment.
• Provide additional guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules where applicable.
• Support administrative duties such as student supervision, traffic control, and substitute teaching.
• Participate in student life activities in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and accountability.
• Commitment to continuous learning and delivering results.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of physics concepts and curriculum delivery.
