Pharmacist – Part‑Time (Beirut, Lebanon)

About the role
The organization is looking for a part‑time pharmacist to support primary health care centres in Beirut, Lebanon. The role combines pharmacy operations, quality assurance, and coordination of medical procurement to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients.
Key responsibilities
- Manage pharmacy workload independently, ensuring accurate monitoring, stock follow‑up, documentation and timely reporting.
- Resolve routine technical and operational issues using established procedures and escalate high‑risk matters to the Health Program Coordinator.
- Provide technical support for best‑practice storage, drug‑waste tracking and inventory management, preparing procurement orders based on tally sheets.
- Ensure availability of education, drug administration and dosing guidelines for medical and nursing staff.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to supported PHCCs to verify compliance with national guidelines, donor requirements and internal SOPs.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Public Health and the Supply Chain team to align pharmacy practices with national strategies and secure timely procurement of medicines.
- Lead medical procurement documentation, manage medical donations and maintain the country Medical Standard list.
- Collect, analyse and submit monthly consumption data and reports, and oversee pharmacy and warehouse compliance with GSDP standards.
- Provide training on good pharmaceutical practices and promote rational drug use, prescription audit and pharmacovigilance.
Required profile
- Licensed pharmacist able to work with moderate supervision while maintaining accountability for quality.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity, professionalism and objectivity when interacting with beneficiaries.
- Experience in primary health‑care pharmacy settings and familiarity with national pharmacy guidelines.
- Ability to collect, analyse and report data accurately and efficiently.
