Pharmacist – Part Time – Beirut

About the role

This part‑time pharmacist position supports primary health care centres in Beirut, ensuring safe medication management, stock control, and compliance with national and donor standards. The role works closely with health staff, supply‑chain teams, and the Ministry of Public Health.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pharmaceutical monitoring, stock follow‑up, documentation and reporting with minimal supervision.
• Resolve routine technical and operational pharmacy issues, escalating high‑risk matters to the Health Program Coordinator.
• Provide technical support for storage, waste tracking, and medication administration guidelines.
• Coordinate procurement orders, maintain tally sheets, and ensure timely supply of medicines.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to PHCCs to verify compliance with national guidelines, donor requirements and internal SOPs.
• Lead medical procurement documentation, donations handling and maintain the country Medical Standard list.
• Deliver training on good pharmaceutical practices and support pharmacovigilance activities.

Required profile

• Pharmacy degree with relevant licensure.
• Experience in pharmacy operations within primary health care or similar settings.
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) standards.
• Ability to work independently, maintain cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
